Reiraku Ch 3

Hello everybody, we’re back with another chapter of Reiraku. Apologies for the huge delay, we should be back to a normal schedule from now on. We hope you enjoy this chapter. Huge thanks to the amazing and dedicated staff on this project. Translating and typesetting the signs has been quite a task, but we love how they turned out. A quick note for page pg 8, we didn’t add the English translations straight on the TV because Chifuyu wouldn’t be covering that part if it was english subtitles (obviously).

Also, it looks like it will be a short series. Asano announced on his twitter that the series will be ending on the next issue of Big Comic Superior (source). Here is a translation of his twitter announcement.

Next issue will have the last chapter of ‘Reiraku.’ It was a tiresome manga to draw.

We’re kind of bummed out that this will be a short series but hopefully he’ll come out with a new one soon! ;–;  But enough of that, here is the latest chapter, we hope you enjoy this release.

  1. Thank you very, very much! I thought you abandoned Reiraku and I’m really glad that’s not the case. A bit surprised, that it’s already ending so soon, I thought this was going to be the spiritual successor of Punpun. Hopefully it was planned that way from the start and he wasn’t forced to end it abruptly, because it was axed. But it’s alright with me, that it’s a short series, since I’m a big fan of his short stories as well.

Again, thanks a lot to the team for bringing us Reiraku!

    • Hmm judging from Asano-sensei’s twitter post it appears as if maybe he just got tired of working on it? Maybe it hit too close to home after all. We hope he comes out with another series soon.

  2. And here I was thinking of having found an incredible series to follow with you guys and it’s already ending. I’m quite sad about it, but it doesn’t make it bad at all, it won me over in 2 chapters. Thank you for your very good work on translating, cleaning and everything. Awesome job.

    • That’s exactly what I was thinking, but it’s really sad it is ending so quickly but nevertheless, it was a very, very good read. That was my first manga to read by Asano Inio and I’m definitely gonna look up for new series from him. the art was great in this series.

      Thank you for the translations!

      • I highly recommend Oyasumi Pun Pun if you’re okay with a long series. For a short, I’m in love with Nijigahara Holograph. But honestly all his works deserve to be read.

  3. Thank your for the good work! Really sad the series is ending soon, it’s really a good reading, the new female lead is so beatiful and interesting, I was hoping to see more of her!

  4. Me too, I am really sad about this series ending – just started it and was really hoping to see more of it! Thanks for your hard in bringing this awesome series to us 😀

  5. Thank you for translating Reiraku for us! And I agree, sad that it’s already finished in only 8 chapters, I wanted to see much more of Chifuyu (ಥ﹏ಥ)
